Carbon Literacy

Carbon Literacy is relevant climate change learning that catalyses action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Carbon Literacy Project works to provide access to this learning to everyone across the UK and beyond.

The Carbon Literacy Project is based on the key aim that if we are to cut our carbon emissions by the kind of reductions demanded of us by science, then we will need to change culture alongside technology. Carbon Literacy training is offered through workplaces, educational institutions and communities.

Elevate delivers Carbon Literacy Project accredited training and is the world's first Carbon Literate business development organisation. Graduates are certified as Carbon Literate following completion of the course and submission of pledges to reduce ther carbon footprints. We work with businesses to co-create bespoke courses enabling you to become a Carbon Literate Organisation.

Businesses can be accredited as Carbon Literate Organisations (“CLOs”) to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. This involves a the creation of a bespoke course, taking a percentage of employees through the course and committing to carbon reduction activity.

Elevate can design and deliver a bespoke course, support you through the accreditation process and connect you with organisations to support your sustainability journey.
